현대자동차와 차량용 모터 개발 과제를 시작합니다.먼저 현대자동차의 미래 먹거리를 준비하는의왕연구소와 차세대 전기차 구동모터를 개발합니다.Radial Flux Motor의 출력밀도 한계를 극복하기 위해Axial Flux Motor와 조합된 새로운 형태를 연구하며최대 효율점 이동 운전 등이 포함될 예정입니다.두번째로 현대자동차 양산 선행을 수행하는남양연구소와 Electric Water Pump를 개발합니다.기존 고정자는코어에 권선을 감는 방식을 사용하나양산성 및 공정시간을 획기적으로 줄이기 위하여PCB 기판을 이용한 초박형 모터를 연구합니다.두 과제 모두 새로운 형태의 매우 도전적인 연구지만반드시 해 보고 싶은 연구이기도 합니다.이번 연구를 통해 향후 대세가 될 전기차의 핵심 부품에우리 연구실이 작은 기여를 할 수 있기를 바래 봅시다.- 김원호 배상

LG전자와 오븐용 쿨링팬 모터 개발을 시작합니다.과제명은 "MWO 쿨링팬용 모터 구조 및 제어 기술개발"로기존 직입구동하여 제어기가 없는 단상 유도전동기를속도, 토크 제어 가능 전동기로 전환하는 과제입니다.가전은 성능도 중요하지만 원가 절감 및 대량 생산이설계에 중요한 포인트로 고려 사항이 매우 많지만삼성 전자 퇴직 후 오랜만의 가전분야 연구로연구실 구성원들에게 즐거운 연구가 될 듯 합니다. ^^또한 제어 Drive IC를 전기공학과 "김현식교수님" 랩에서담당해 주시어 확장된 연구를 할 수 있을 듯 합니다.EMLAB에서 개발된 모터가 수백만대씩 생산되며전세계 가전에 들어가길 기대해 봅니다!- 김원호 배상

In EMLAB, we not only strive to improve our knowledge, but also focus on self-improvement and common decency. In terms of the lab itself, we work with each other like a family unit. In terms of external relations, we also treat others with sincerity for creating a harmonious learning atmosphere, the professor always puts himself in his student's shoes and leads the group on the road to success. Moreover, the group camaraderie is strengthend through group activities such as hiking, fitness, etc. We also organize various sports including ski & snowboard, surfing, football to enhance our physical and psychological health.
